Kennedy Von Kat is a distinguished Canadian melodic metal and alternative rock artist based in Niagara Falls. Drawing profound inspiration from the influential hard rock and gothic artists of the 2000s, such as Evanescence, Pierce The Veil, and Flyleaf, Kennedy’s music is characterized by its evocative exploration of mental health and personal trauma.

Kennedy made her debut with two singles from her forthcoming EP. The lead single, “EDWARD SCISSORHANDS,” reimagines the iconic Tim Burton film into a unique narrative that captivates listeners with its compelling storytelling. Her second single, “PSYCHODRAMA,” garnered significant attention on TikTok, expanding her fanbase and highlighting her ability to connect deeply through music. Expansion Radial described the track as “a raw testimony of internal struggle and heartbreak,” praising Kennedy for her candid portrayal of desire and pain.

Since entering the performance scene in 2022, Kennedy has shared the stage with notable acts including Madchild of Swollen Members, Brandon Hart, and Otherwives. She will headline her first solo show on August 30th, 2024, at The Warehouse Concert Hall in St. Catharines, alongside No More New and Mage. Additionally, Kennedy has placed 1st in the 2024 Mic Drop with judge Michael Hanson of Glass Tiger.
